MicroGrid precision-expanded metal foils are suitable as ground planes for Wi-Fi antennae and can be incorporated directly into building materials such as ceiling tiles and wall panels. In addition, boat UHF ground planes can be incorporated directly into hull and deck materials. MicroGrid foils can also be anodized, plated, painted, plastic-coated, laminated, bent, formed and punched. Resins flow through the grid-openings and into mesh pockets created by the manufacturing process. Providing an effective shield against EMI/RFI and ESD, these metal foils provide precise levels of conductivity or shielding by varying the configuration of the mesh. The number and size of the openings is exactly controlled within a range from one per square inch to more than 9000. Mesh sizes range from 0.020- to 1.0-in., while open area varies.

The material can be used in the automotive industry, replacing hard-chromed low alloy steels and eliminating the hard-chromizing process. Corrosion protection processes are also eliminated.
Polymer powders ICORENE à la carte allows users to specify prime-grade polyethylene resins consistently from the same manufacturers and additive packages and stabilizers produced in-house. The Same Day Color system matches the exact color specified. Powders can be designed by indicating density, melt flow, color mold release, impact strength, heat distortion requirements and grind type among other properties.
