Drive chain Available in sizes 80 through 240 and up to 10 strands wide, the Energy series chain features strong pins that hold tight under extreme vibration, smooth holes to eliminate fatigue cracks and link plates to distribute loads more evenly. Z-cotter connecting links hold tight and facilitate assembly. Standard hot-dipped lubrication penetrates deeper than typical surface treatments, extending working life.
High-V resistors The HPC series of Fine Film high-voltage, pulse-withstanding resistors is available in standard and custom chip sizes 0805 to 2512, with continuous power ratings from 0.2 to 2.0W. Resistance values range from 100W, with tolerances as low as 0.5% and TCRs to 50 ppm/°C. Operating temperature is between -55° and 125°C. A 100 kW 2512 chip resistor absorbs 2.0J with a 6 kV peak pulse.
CNC controller The Sinumerik 840 powerline computer numerical control features highly dynamic real-time linking of up to 8 units. This configuration enables multi-axis machines with up to 248 axes and spindles to be controlled with flexible assignment of axes and spindles to one CNC. If required, the machine can be upgraded with several operating panels. Operator PCs with either Windows XP or NT are optional.
DC/DC converter The TPS54350 SWIFT device (Switcher With Integrated FET Technology) supports an input voltage from 4.5 to 20V, at a continuous output current of 3A. Supporting the medium output current range for low power industrial and commercial systems, the converter is capable of adjusting output voltages down to 0.891V with 1% accuracy. SWIFT supports synchronous or non-synchronous operation.
Modular controller The 32-zone CSPID dual PID module offers the convenience of drag-and-drop configuration and downloadable PLC drivers in a high-density 32-zone/single-node unit, for dedicated PID control outside of the PLC. Features include DIN-rail mounting, hot-swappable modules for quick replacement and storage of module configuration data for the replacement. 10-BaseT, RS-485 and RS-232 are integrated.
Resistors RC1/4 and RC1/2 series fixed-carbon composition, non-inductive, low-capacitance resistors withstand larger short-term pulses and higher voltages than carbon film resistors, and are virtually impervious to ESD events. Resistance ranges from 1W to 22 MW and tolerances of 5% at 0.25V and ±10% at 0.5V are available with limiting element voltage of 250 and 350V, and isolation voltage of 100 and 500V.
Heat exchangers Designed to provide close temperature of fluids for heat recovery applications where space is a prime consideration, Plateflow heat exchangers offer an alternative to shell-and-tube exchangers, especially for CPI applications. The units are available in 20 models, for heat transfer surface as high as 9180 ft2. Highly efficient countercurrent flow yields heat transfer coefficients 3 to 5 times greater than conventional designs.
Electronic motor brake The Dyna-Stop II DC injection motor brake rapidly stops AC induction motors from spinning through a zero speed function that monitors motor rotation and applies DC current until the motor has stopped, regardless of load. It installs on 2 to 40 hp motors by connecting 7 wires; there are no mechanical shafts to connect. Smooth torque engagement practically eliminates wear on keyways and
splines.
Custom lead frames Available in a variety of metals, including inlaid and selectively plated precious metals, custom lead frames can be supplied loose or as strip on reels, ranging from 0.008- to 0.090-in. thick with ±0.0005-in. tolerances. Prototype through production quantities are offered, with engineering assistance, in-house tool design and build capabilities.
Vinyl caps Made from a special formulation of vinyl that yields a textured, non-slip surface, Softex caps have a matte finish for decorative protection. Available in various colors, the cap provides both weather and chemical resistance that will not tear or crack. A variety of lengths and diameters is offered, along with samples and application assistance.
Modular latching system By using a large selection of cams, padlockable quarter-turn latches can be provided with housing lengths for doors up to 22 mm, with grip lengths slightly over 69 mm, depending on the application. Single- and multi-point latching is available for all models. Compression of up to 6 mm is possible through an assortment of cams. IP65-rated models are offered for water- and dust-tight applications.
Heavy-duty encoder Featuring an IP66 protection rating and high bearing capacity, the SRS/M 25 heavy-duty Sincos encoder is enclosed in an NA standard 2.5-in. package, able to be coupled externally to any servomotor. Additionally, it can be used as an incremental or absolute encoder. The stand-alone encoder can be used for all axes, including non-motor load axes.
Terminal blocks The Topjob S series of DIN-rail-mounted terminal blocks uses the company’s Cage Clamp S spring pressure connection technology, which allows solid wire, tin-bonded wire or ferruled stranded wire to be inserted into the connecting clamp mechanism without tools. All wire types are connected via simple screwdriver actuation. The series terminates 28 to 4 AWG and is rated for 600V at up to 87A.

Interactive graphic display The MFD Titan graphic display features a customizable user interface that can incorporate an OEM logo, inscriptions above and below the keypads, along with PID, PWM and various pre-loaded control functions. Providing a backlit 132 x 64 pixel display and an on-board keypad, the NEMA 4X/IP65 device mounts in a standard 2 x 22.5 mm hole, and includes a power supply with CPU and optional I/Os.
