Canfield Connector, Booth 1475. Valve driver. This
compact, multi-adjustable, Block Micro Proportional Driver (MPD) is designed as a full
feature, all-in-one driver. This solid-state driver is used to control the flow of air or
liquid through proportional solenoid valves. While this driver offers an array of
adjustments, its palm-sized configuration makes it ideal for any size application. MPD
features include compact size, epoxy encapsulation, true sine wave dithering and a 5V
built-in reference voltage.
Colder Products Company, Booth 854. Quick-disconnect
couplings. Sanitary couplings are quick-disconnect couplings terminated with
sanitary-style fittings. They attach directly to popular 3/4 in. mini- and 1 in. maxi-size
sanitary fittings, eliminating the need for cumbersome adapters or tubing assemblies.
Direct attachment allows faster connection to, and disconnection from, installed rigid and
flexible piping systems, bio-reactors and fermentation systems. 
Fluid Metering Inc, Booth 2360. Dispenser/pumps.
Model STH & STQ integrate patented CeramPump technology with precision stepper motor
control for accurate, drift-free fluid delivery. The design eliminates multiple components
typically required by valves, motors and motion controllers by using one moving part, a
ceramic piston, to perform both pumping and valving functions -- without valves.
Chemically inert, dimensionally stable ceramic internal components provide a repeatable
accuracy of 0.5% for millions of cycles.
Dresser Instrument, Booth 2617. Direct drive gauges.
Direct drive movements, with no gears or bearings to jam, have been used in larger,
industrial gauges with much success. Now they are being integrated into Ashcroft
commercial gauges. They are four times more shock resistant than conventional movement
gauges, and have neither gears nor bearings to wear out. They are available in ranges from
60 to 400 psi, and in 40mm and 50mm back-connect.
The Lee Company, Booth 1068. IMH orifice. This
new orifice is a simple, economical, highly reliable miniature restrictor available in 31
standard flow rates. The orifice utilizes a field-proven controlled expansion principle
that makes it easy and economical to install, provides retention, and creates a leak-tight
seal that prevents any bypass leakage. Constructed entirely of stainless steel, this
restrictor has bi-directional flow capability and a maximum working pressure differential
of 21 Mpa (3000 psi).
Gast Manufacturing, Booth 2447. Diaphragm pump. This
oilless miniature diaphragm pump--the 3D Series--has maximum pressure/vacuum capabilities
of 7.1 psi (0.49 bar) or 11.3 in Hg (631 mbar) with open airflow of 1.18 lpm. Stroke
options are available for performance modification. The series has a chemical-resistant
valve, diaphragm and head assembly, and mounts in any plane. Various DC voltage options
are available with a choice of iron- or ironless-core motors. 
New Age Industries Inc, Booth 1657. Custom coiled
tubing. This company's recently expanded fabrication facilities allow customers to
specify many parameters for their coiled tubing: material, such as nylon, polyurethane or
Teflon; color (including clear); outer coil diameter; performance requirements; and coil
length. Replaceable or permanently attached fittings can be provided to save additional
time and labor. For convenience, coiled Teflon tubing is available from stock in sizes
from 1/16- to 5/8-in. ID with other dimensions available.
KIP Incorporated, Booth 1241. Level sensor for
diluent bottles. Series 2897 level sensors monitor the level of diluent in
Nalgene-type bottles by sending an open, closed or continuous output signal to a
controller. This is done with a float, magnet and 20VA SPST reed switch-type level sensor
built into a custom-fitted bottle cap -- a draw/fill tube is included. Maximum operating
temperature is 150°F, and minimum specific gravity requirement is 0.62. 
Pneutronics, Division of Parker Hannifin, Booth 4209. Digital
valve. This company is introducing a radically different digital valve, the X-Valve,
that they say will revolutionize the industry. With a unique patent-pending body, this
technologically advanced product has the smallest overall footprint area, making it the
world's smallest valve, according to the company. This new valve has impressive
characteristics related to its size, response speed and capabilities.
