2759. Sensors. A line of position, fluid level and flow sensors includes the
LDS liquid level sensor, which offers closer differential switching between "on"
and "off" with the repeatability and reliability of reed switch operation. This
makes it ideal for applications requiring tight control. Featuring a 20 degree maximum
float actuation reference from the center, these sensors provide a choice of two
materials, Nylon 6.6 or glass-filled polypropylene, and silicone or nitrile seals. 
Honeywell Sensing & Control, Booth 767. Sensor
modules. The HOA6299 Series through-beam infrared sensor modules offer fast response
time, direct TTL interface and buffer logic. The emitter and detector are in separate
modules. Both are encased in dust-protective thermoplastic housings that prevent blocking
of optics by airborne contaminants. Typical applications include edge detection, position
control, parts counting and mail sorting. 
MTS Systems Corp, Booth 1038. Flexible sensors.
Based on the principle of magnetostrictive sensing, these flexible sensors provide
non-contact and trouble-free performance for very long stroke lengths and linear
measurements on an arc. They are available with all Temposonics III or L Series outputs
such as analog and digital pulse, and bus outputs including Profibus and DeviceNet.
Standard stroke lengths are up to 9 meters, with special application lengths up to 20
meters. 
Omron Electronics Inc, Booth 6251. Photoelectric
sensor. The E3G-L1 sensors offer a pinpoint beam of 1mm diameter with a range of
5-50mm. This beam can detect the presence or absence of minute targets without the use of
a laser beam, which reduces costs. The sensor incorporates a 1-touch threshold sensitivity
teaching adjustment with precise distance setting capabilities. The optical system
achieves stable detection of objects regardless of glossiness, color and more.
Setra Systems Inc, Booth 477. Pressure transducers.
The Model 224 Flow-Through transducer is designed for applications involving specialty gas
handling. It enables users to monitor specialty gas processes on an in-line basis and is
used in gas delivery systems, semiconductor process tools and more. It is available with 5
VDC, 10 VDC, or 4 to 20 mA output with 0.25% of full-scale or 1.0% of reading accuracy.
This model offers ranges from 0-25 to 0-3000 psi in gauge, absolute and compound pressure.
Pinnacle Systems Inc, Booth 354. STTS Safety Mat
System. The STTS (Soft Tactile Transducer Sensor) system is a tactile sensor that
provides information regarding the distribution and magnitude of tactile force applied to
its surface. The technology creates a uniform activation threshold throughout the entire
mat surface area. The design offers a guarding system that contains no dead zones. The
large array of sizes and custom fabrication capabilities make it a good choice for
industrial machine guarding requirements.
Tri-tronics Company Inc, Booth 102. Self-adjusting
sensor. This event-driven photoelectric sensor automatically compensates for
deteriorating or detrimental changes as they occur during operation. These changes include
dirty lenses or reflectors, broken light guide fibers, light source drift and more. The
Smarteye Pro sensor is adjusted to its target by a single push of the AutoSet button in
either the static or dynamic operating condition. It also includes a five LED diagnostic
contrast indicator. 
Transicoil, Booth 478. Rotary position transducer. Series
U-222xxx RVRTs (rotary variable reluctance transducers) are part of the company's
customizable line of rugged rotary position sensors. Critical electrical parameters and
construction features of these RVRTs can be customized to meet specific application needs.
They provide reliable, repeatable precision even in harsh environments. Applications
