Design engineers are thinkers. I've been working in this field for nearly 30 years now and that is one experience I find to be consistently true. Another is that engineers are hands-on people. They love to pick up and hold and turn new designs between their hands.

The Magazine

For more than 20 years, Designfax has made it a point to bring the technologies, products, and solutions design engineers are searching for into a format that energizes and excites their imagination. We call it, in the new vernacular, Mind Candy.

The Show

Every year, the National Design Engineering Show takes place in March at Chicago's McCormick Place. By the time you read this introduction, the Designfax/Medical Equipment Designer team will have contacted every exhibitor with products on the following pages up to three times, received their product/service information, and written that data up in a way that will help you find the products, technologies, and solutions for which you're looking.

Then, as every year at this time, the team packs up and heads west. Unlike some competitors in this field, we bring our entire team: editors, artists, production, sales, the whole group. It's important that the people responsible for creating our magazine see the fruits of their labors. We encourage attendees to get to the show early and to leave late. Visit as many booths as you possibly can. And while you're at it, try to stop by our booth (9064-9065) sometime during the four days of the show, check out the StereoGraphics StereoEyes 3D Visualization package we're giving away each day, and say hello to our team.
