Motor Protectors.
The UP7 series of thermal protectors are, according to the company,
the smallest motor protectors on the market. Measuring 0.61- x 0.28- x 0.15-in.,
the UP7 series is the ideal solution for a wide range of applications, including
appliance motors 1/2 HP or smaller, transformers, solenoids, battery chargers,
heaters, switching power supplies, inverter ballasts, electronic circuits
and amplifiers. The UP7 series' reinforced PBT-resin plastic enclosure eliminates
the need for extra insulation or additional mylar sleeving, and are snap-action
open or close, and self-resetting. The thermal protectors are available
in three models: the UP7, the UP71 and the UP72, with customized wire leads
to meet specific application contact requirements. Selco Products

EMI suppression arrays.
The TCA series of ferrite chip bead arrays deliver 60, 120, 300 or 600(omega)
of impedance at 100MHz, from a surface mount package measuring 3.2 x 1.6mm.
Each of the four chip bead arrays in the series is designed to handle four
lines supplying identical impedance to each. Crosstalk between lines is
minimal. Current handling ranges from 100 to 300mA. Associated Components

Smart battery
electronics. The P4's 6 Kbytes of integral flash EEPROM contain the
core battery control algorithms, cell chemistry performance models, and
associated equations for battery capacity calculations. The flash EEPROM
block also contains pack calibration information and utility software. Over
250 preprogrammed battery parameters as well as algorithms can be modified
as needed. Power Smart Inc, One Research Dr, Shelton, CT 06484.

Single board
computer. The TEC-CPCI-1004 offers a good price/performance ratio. It
supports all Socket 7, Super 7 Pentium 133 & 166 MHz, and MMX 200 &
233 MHz processors. The board supports a front-side bus of up to 100 MHz.
The optional usage of CompactFlash and the Pentium processor provide performance,
high reliability, low power consumption, and lower cost. Teknor Industrial

Inter-digitated capacitor.
This 175pH device is available in a 2.2µF capacitance at 6.3V in an
X7R dielectric. The unit provides eight vias for power and ground. The IDC
series offers one of the lowest inductance values available. The series
is available in 0612 chip sizes with capacitance values ranging from .047µF
at 25V to 2.2µF at 6.3V, with tolerances of ±20 percent. AVX

Thermal solutions.
Coupled with DC fans, this series of heat sinks can dissipate up to 25 W
of heat. The series 869, 709, 710, 711 and 712 offer total versatility for
all types of chassis configurations and system level airflow. All five heat
sinks have two fan models available: a two-wire model and a three-wire model
that offers a speed sense lead. It attaches to Socket 7 with a stainless
steel clip. Wakefield Engineering, 100 Cummings Ctr, Suite

Single chip interface
circuits. These surface mount or DIP devices are specially designed
to process the differential output signals from a wide range of transducers
such as pressure sensors, thermistors or RTDs, to provide high level voltage
(AM401) or current-loop outputs (AM402- two wire or three wire). The AM
series has a voltage range of 6 to 35 VDC, and an operating temperature
range of -40 to 85°C. Servoflo, 75 Allen St, Lexington,

Analog I/O
carrier card. The VMAC is a 3U VME board that can be fitted with up
to eight analog plug-in input/output modules (MACs). The core of the design
is a 80C51 microcontroller which, on power up, senses which slots contain
MAC modules, initializes the modules and performs the required setup. All
initialized MAC modules are then searched and their last data is transferred
to the on-board SRAM. Pep Modular Computers, 750 Holiday Dr,
