PUMPS, VALVES & CYLINDERS
(continued)
Dry
running drive pumps. The MDH-425 series of dry running magnetic drive
pumps features polypropylene wetted parts, and is capable of generating
up to 105 feet TDH. The 5HP MDH-425 has a maximum flow rate of 160 GPM.
When equipped with carbon bearings, a pin-point thrust bearing design allows
the MDH-425 to run dry without damaging the pump. MDH-425 uses standard
NEMA 56C motors to offer a compact, easy-to-service package for both users
and systems manufacturers. Iwaki Walchem Co, 5 Boynton Rd,
Holliston, MA 01746. 508-429-1440. Circle 614.
Block
cylinders. These block cylinders feature standard BSPP manifold-mount
porting for easy system design and installation. Clamping capacities range
from 2,450 lbs to over 61,000 lbs of force. Operational pressures range
from 500 through 5,000 psi. The range of stroke spans from 0.3-in to a 2.2-in
extension. All models feature a tapped plunger for use with a number of
tooling components. Enerpac, PO Box 325 Milwaukee, WI 53201-0325.

High
purity relief valve. The SV101 is a high purity, Dri-Control Teflon
pressure relief valve that offers fast response to pressure fluctuations.
The valve employs a spring-loaded diaphragm that opens when then inlet pressure
reaches a manually adjustable set point. It is suitable in analytical instrumentation,
wafer cleaning, ink mix and flow control in reprographics, as well as semiconductor
and computer applications. Valcor Engineering Co, 2 Lawrence
Rd, Springfield, NJ 07081. 973-467-8400. Circle 616.
Track
cable cylinders. This line of cable cylinders is available in double-acting,
single-acting, double purchase and track cylinder models with 11 bore sizes
ranging from 1/2- to 8-in. and stroke lengths from a few inches to 60 feet.
Simple in design, the cable cylinder's stroke is contained within the cylinder
itself. This provides space savings and allows equal force and movement
to be applied in both directions. Tol-O-Matic Inc, 3800 County
Rd 116, Hamel, MN 55340. 800-328-2174. Circle 606.

Quarter turn valve interlock. The QTV fits virtually all lever
operated ball, butterfly and plug valves with no valve modification required.
This integral valve interlock is a mechanical locking device that prevents
unauthorized and/or mis-operation of lever operated valves. The adjusting
stem clamps fit all stems up to 1.5-in. Scientific Technologies Inc,
6550 Dumbarton Circle, Fremont, CA 94555-3611. 510-608-3400. Circle 605.
Electrohydraulic
control valve. The V-series of valves has a cast iron body with 5000
psi capability. Interchangeable spools provide nine flow ratings in load
sensing, open-center, and closed-center forms. Relief valves and anticavitation
checks can be added as workport options. Up to nine sections of valves can
be stacked together to control multiple functions from one package with
a single pair of pump and tank connections. Fluid Power Systems,

Automatic
sensing valves. This self-contained, temperature actuated control valve
maintains desired temperature in a process pipe or storage tank by regulating
steam flow in response to changes in fluid temperature. The ST valve eliminates
the use of delicate capillaries, hazardous, chemically filled diaphragms,
or thinwalled bellows. ST valves can also be used in place of electric tracing.

Dispensing
valves. The 340 series of dispensing valves combine adjustable positive
displacement volume control, automatic, adjustable, suck-back, a completely
disposable wetted system, and a programmable micro controller operated electronic
sequencing system. The valve can be used with difficult to handle, high
viscosity and/or stringy materials that have short pot lives in applications
where the repeatability of positive displacement is required. Tridak,
1120 Federal Rd, Brookfield, CT 06804. 203-775-1287. Circle 618.
Bankable
valve sections. This line of valve sections incorporates Motorized Flow
Controls (MFC) with a pressure compensator and load sensing system. Each
section provides remote, pressure compensated flow control to its function.
Assemblies can incorporate up to eight individual sections using one common
inlet. Source Fluid Power Inc, 331 Lake Hazeltine Dr, Chaska,

Check
valves. The Tideflex series of check valves is now available in sizes
smaller than 1-in.. The series ranges in sizes from 25mm (1-in.) down to
2.5mm (0.1-in.). These tiny check valves feature all the benefits of their
larger relatives-- all rubber construction, passive operation, and absolute
backflow prevention. The all-rubber construction will not warp or freeze.
A large selection of styles and configurations are available to meet any
application. Red Valve Co, 700 North Bell Ave, Carnegie, PA

Low flow
pump. This non-pulsing, magnetically coupled, sealless pump provides
a flow range of 1 to 100ml/minute, and differential pressure to 400psi.
The shafts, magnet cup, and bypass parts are made of 316 stainless steel.
The unit has no shaft seals to leak. They also feature a full flow bypass
whereby external adjustment can be made by screw while the pump is running.

Toggle
valve. This 3-position toggle valve has a Cv of 0.33, a flow rate of
26 scfm @ 125 psi, and is available in 2- or 3-way configurations. The unit
contains two valves in one body with a common input and common exhaust.
Three actuator functions can be chosen: spring centered, detented or spring/detented.
The body is manufactured from light weight, black anodized aluminum. Pneumadyne
Inc, 12975 16th Ave N, Plymouth, MN 55441. 612-559-0177.
