Extreme temperature rodless cylinder. The Thermocylinder is a rodless pneumatic cylinder (OSP series) designed for applications where temperatures can reach up to 500ºF. The barrel is designed to allow coolant passage through the entire length of the cylinder, absorbing heat energy via forced convection and exiting the other end. A blower/heat ex-changer combination removes the heat energy from the coolant and the cycle is then repeated. High-temperature gaskets prevent possible leakage between the barrel and the endcaps, which were modified to increase the number of coolant paths. Thermocylinder may operate doors found in glass and steel foundries and in large commercial bakery installations.
