Packaging resin
Developed specifically for electronic media applications, such as DVD, CD or video game packaging, Petrothene PP TR513 polypropylene homopolymer provides colorable contact clarity to enable consumers to see the packaged contents. Produced via a controlled rheology process called vis-breaking, the resin’s narrow molecular weight distribution provides high warp resistance and precise, consistent shrinkage, thus assuring designed fit. The resin is suited for use in multi-cavity tools and has a melt flow rate of 65g/10 min. Its stiffness facilitates mold ejection and it provides good processibility and nucleation for faster cycling. Light pigmentation and natural coloring provides clarity, while heavier coloring processes can produce opacity.

Polymer stabilizer blends
The Anox NDB line of polymer stabilizers is a homogeneous, custom blend of additives incorporated into a free-flowing, dust-free, mechanically resistant physical form. The NDB form has an “alloy effect,” which can be achieved when polymer additives are combined in one blend with additive synergies that improve dispersion and homogeneity.

Epoxy adhesive
Solarite EA-0504 epoxy structural adhesive maintains high peel and shear strengths even after prolonged exposure at 140°F, remains flexible at low temperatures, and offers better adhesion to dissimilar surfaces than comparable materials. It cures at room temperature and does not become brittle with heat aging. No special surface preparation is needed and UL-VO versions are available.

Finned tubing
This company has developed a production method for internally, longitudinally finned, cold finished tubes for use as pyrolysis tubing in ethylene furnace applications. Such an environment sees temperatures between 900° and 1150°C and aggressive, corrosive conditions. The austenitic, chromium-nickel steel is alloyed with nitrogen and rare earth materials to provide high carburization and oxidation resistance.
