Submersible transducers.
The series 700 family of submersible level transducers is available in a choice of
static accuracies from ±0.05% to ±1% F.S. These transducers are approved to FM, CSA and
UL for Class I, Division 1, Groups A, B, C and D, Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F and G;
and Class III, Division 1 hazardous locations; and also meet CE approval according to
EN-50081 and EN-50082-2. The transducers are housed in a small rugged package and
constructed with all-welded, corrosion-resistant 316 stainless steel. Internal signal
conditioning provides a power supply rejection of 0.0001% and either a 4-20 mA DC, 0-5
VDC, or mVDC process signal. Pressure Systems Inc, 34 Research Dr, Hampton,
VA 23666. 800-328-3665. Circle 520.
Subminiature transducer. The model S has a 10 to 20,000 psig
pressure range with 1%FS accuracy, excellent thermal characteristics and highly stable
output for reliable data in a variety of industrial applications. This rugged transducer
features a unitized 17-4 PH stainless steel flush diaphragm and heavy sidewall
construction. Standard excitation is 5 VDC. Output is 2mV/V for high ranges, and 0.1
mV/psi for the low ranges. Sensotec Inc, 2080 Arlingate Ln, Columbus, OH
43228. 800-848-6564. Circle 523.
Photoelectric sensors. The OL line has ranges of up to one
meter (diffuse reflective), five meters (retroreflective) or 25 meters (thru-beam). A
push-button calibration procedure, which can be used with the conveyor line running,
simplifies installation and setup. A microprocessor provides calibration capability and
gives a warning of signal degradation due to dirt accumulation or other causes. Efector
Inc, 805 Springdale Dr, Whiteland Business Park, Exton, PA 19341. 610-524-2000. Circle

Sensor-actuator cables. The M line provides users a
comprehensive range of initiator cabling so that the necessary links between controls and
sensors/actuators can be obtained from a single manufacturer. In addition, built-in LEDs
immediately show which system is actuated. The M8 and M12 round plug-in connectors, as
well as DIN rectangular plug-in connectors, are compatible for connecting the
sensor/actuator boxes with the sensor/actuators. Phoenix Contact Inc, PO Box
4100, Harrisburg, PA 17111-0100. 717-944-1300 x-3662. Circle 527.
Pressure sensors. The LPX 5000 series with ±0.25% FS accuracy
and 0.5% FS per year stability is well-suited to clean-room applications where failure to
maintain ambient pressure could result in serious loss of important experimental data or
contamination of critical processes, such as semiconductor or pharmaceutical
manufacturing. It offers standard measuring ranges of ±0.1-, ±0.25-, ±0.5- and ±1-inch
H20. Druck Incorporated, 4 Dunham Dr, New Fairfield, CT 06812. 203-746-0400.

Thin-film transducer. The IMP-1000 differential pressure
transducer will withstand 2000g of shock. Its full scale equals 14 in. of water column
(1/2 psi) and total static error band is <1%. The IMP-1000 can be used to measure water
level flow and differential pressure. Temperature compensation is <0.2%/°C and
vibration tolerance is 20gs peak (10 to 2000 Hz). The sensor withstands 5X overpressure
and is insensitive to mounting position. Integrated Micromachines Inc, 3360
East Foothill Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91107. 626-396-0300. Circle 525.
Pressure transducers. The AB line is ideal for a wide range of
applications. It has a variety of mounting options and wide pressure ranges. In addition,
the transducer line has two thermally matched germanium strain gages, and they are fully
compensated and calibrated. Output is a stable 0-100mV from an excitation of 5 VDC. The AB
may be flush-mounted or fitted with an external adapter. It also has an optional integral
connector. Data Instruments, 100 Discovery Way, Acton, MA 01720.

Level transmitter. Ricochet is a microprocessor-based two-wire
ultrasonic level transmitter with built-in process intelligence and other excellent
features. The 3/5 in. NPT transducer features an ultra-tight 3.5 in. dead band and narrow
8 degree beam width. The transducer protrudes only 0.7 in. into the tank, and the NEMA 4X
enclosure stands 3.6 in. above the tank top. Ricochet is a corrosive level measurement
solution for storage units. Flowline Inc, 10500 Humbolt St, Los Alamitos, CA
90720. 562-598-3015. Circle 529.
Pressure sensor. The P163 is available in pressure ranges of
0-15 through 0-1000 psia/psig. The sensor operates from a 5 VDC regulated input and
provides a 0.5 to 4.5 VDC output. The 316SS sensor design offers EMI protection,
overpressure protection up to 5X rated pressure, and has a minimum operating life of ten
years. This sensor module is ideally suited for integrated housing assembly and signal
output. Kavlico Co, 14501 Los Angeles Ave, Moorpark, CA 93021. 805-523-2000.

Purity transducer. With a total dead volume of 1.8cc, model
215 is ideal for the most demanding specialty gas monitoring and control applications
where construction integrity, purity and performance cannot be sacrificed. With an
accuracy of ±0.25FS%, the 215 offers superior stability, thereby avoiding costly
downtime. The 215 is available with 0.2 to 5.2 VDC or 4-20mA output. The 215 measures gage
pressure from 0-50 to 0-3000 psig. Setra Systems Inc, 159 Swanson Rd,
Boxborough, MA 01719-1304. 800-257-3872. Circle 521.
Force sensors. The TH series was designed for thru-hole
applications such as bolt force measurements and overload monitoring. They are compression
only and available in multiple outside diameters of 1.0-, 1.5-, 2.0- and 3.0-in., all with
multiple inside diameter combinations. Capacity range is from 50 thru 50,000 lbs and they
are available with a maximum full scale non-linearity of ±0.5%. Output is 2MV/V nominal
via full Wheatstone strain bridge. Transducer Techniques Inc, 43178 Business
Park Dr, Temecula, CA 92590. Circle 531.
Ultrasonic sensors. This line of position sensors has analog output and teach
mode. These sensors offer simple, one-button programming and require no special tools for
set-up. The sensor's teach function allows the user to select both limits of the sensing
range and the steepness of the analog output. The sensor's operating range is 100 to
700mm, and the analog output supplies zero to 10 volts. Available in cable or connector
versions. Baumer Electric Ltd, 122 Spring St C-6, Southington, CT
06489-1534. Circle 522.
