Die set bearings.
The SDS and DDS series of die sets feature the plane bearing material Frelon Gold.
These flange mounted units are available for shaft sizes ranging from 1- to 2-in. The
option of a single bearing or double bearings offers flexible performance. The housings
are made of black oxide-finished steel shells for heavy duty applications, and eliminate
the need for lubrication and metal-to-metal contact. The Frelon Gold-lined bearings used
in the SDS/DDS series offers many advantages over traditional bushings, including up to 20
times the load capacity of a linear ball bearing; simultaneous linear, rotary, oscillating
movements; extreme temperature range (-400° to +500°F); and elimination of catastrophic
failure. Pacific Bearing Co, PO Box 6980, Rockford, IL 61125-6980.

Space-saving guides. The DryLin N line is ideal
for applications where space is limited. The DryLin N has an overall height of 0.37-in.,
an overall width of 1.06-in. and an overall length of 78.7-in. The bearing carriage
features sliding strips of iglide J thermoplastic material. The bearing clearances are
within a range from 0.006- to 0.010-in. The series is self-lubricating, maintenance-free
and operates quietly. igus Inc, PO Box 14349, East Providence, RI 02914.

Linear guide. The R-series of linear guides
are ideal for medical device, semiconductor processing, and PC board assembly. Available
in 7, 9 and 12mm sizes, these guides provide excellent corrosion resistance, equal load
carrying capacity in all directions, and feature an industry standard envelope with a
bolt-hole pattern for drop-in replacement of existing guides. Thomson Industries,

Full-extension drawer slide. The 9301
full-extension drawer slide is designed for use in a variety of heavy-duty storage
applications. The series has a load rating range from 110 to 500 lbs., depending upon
slide usage. The 9301 requires 0.75 in. of side space and features extra silencing during
drawer closure. It is available in a wide range of lengths to a maximum of 60 in. Accuride

Linear motor positioner. The Lineax-8 stages
are packaged in an extremely low 62mm profile and are complete and ready to run. The
brushless, linear servo motor that drives the stage is cog-free, and will maintain precise
velocity control. Travel range is from 150 to 1000mm. Lineax-8 performance specifications
include velocities to 2.4 meters per second, acceleration to 2G and a repeatability of
less than 500nm. Nutec Components Inc, 100 Jefryn Blvd, Deer Park, NY 11729.

Linear stages. The CG3 line features precision
crossed roller linear bearings. CG3 crossed roller stages provide smooth, quiet,
repeatable, frictionless motion while providing flatness, and a straight-line accuracy of
2 micron/mm stroke. CG3 stages are available in aluminum, stainless steel or cast iron,
with a choice of ballscrews or leadscrews. They include English or metric mounting holes,
single piece 17 frame motor mount, and an aluminum flexible coupling as standard. American
Linear Manufacturers, 47 New York Ave, Westbury, NY 11590. 800-892-3991. Circle

Shaft support rails. The SR series of aluminum
support rails provides high accuracy for linear motion systems. They can be used
vertically or horizontally for optimum rigidity. Produced in 24- and 48-in. lengths, and
available in sizes to accommodate shafts up to 4-in. diameter, the support rails provide a
height tolerance of ±0.002-in. over the entire length of the extrusion. Lee
Controls Inc, 727 South Ave, Piscataway, NJ 08854. 800-221-0811. Circle 626.
Ball bearing slide. The LBS line is designed to provide smooth accessibility for
placement, removal and service of internally-mounted equipment and instrumentation. With
load capacities ranging from 50 to 930 lbs, LBS ball-bearing slides are particularly
suited to accommodate a variety of instruments and equipment that require frequent
checking and monitoring. Slide members are made from 14-gauge cold-rolled steel. They are
zinc plated and sealed with a bright finish for extended longevity. The lubricant applied
to the slides' ball bearings has an operational span of -65° to 650°F. General
Devices, PO Box 39100, Indianapolis, IN 46239-0100. 800-626-9484. Circle 624.
