Constructed with a stainless steel body, maintenance-free Tekleen automatic filters range in size from 1- to 24-in. dia. with flow rates from 5 to 12,000 gpm, respectively. Absolute filtration to 50 microns is standard — 5 micron filtration is optional. The filters are offered in on-line, in-line, parallel and bell-shaped configurations. The unit is based on the company’s Tekrinse screen cleaning design that saves up to 90% of rinsing water. As water passes through the filter depositing dirt particles on the screen, water pressure drops until it triggers a DP sensor that starts a cleaning cycle. Dirt is then suctioned from the screen and a momentary backwash cycle does not interrupt the main water flow.
