Rigid couplings The Jr series of rigid couplings and mating machined flanges are used with resilient all-metal seals for aircraft jet engine bleed air ducting. The compact, lightweight high-performance couplings were designed as an alternative to traditional sheet-metal for 1- to 4-in. tube dia. Couplings are available in 347 CRES, A286, Ni 718, 6-4 titanium and 2024T851 materials. Mating machined flanges are available in 247 CRES, Ni 625, Ti CP70, 6-4 titanium and 6061-T6 materials. The Jr series features a patented Fool-Proof safety latch with a double-width slot that prevents improper installation; in the event the mechanic attempts to place the lugs outside the latch, the double-width slot makes it impossible to start the locknut on the eyebolt threads as the bolt extension is less than the width of the trunnion lug.
Keyless shaft hub connections This company offers keyless locking mechanisms for shaft sizes as small as ¼-in./6mm dia.
