Cabinet air cooler
Protecting electronics from high external temperatures while maintaining
sound levels of only 60 dBA at 3 feet, this compact air conditioner features
internal muffling and an external sleeve for added insulation. It stands
5.2 in. high for mounting in confined spaces. The mini-Cabinet Cooler incorporates
a vortex tube that cools ordinary compressed air to 20°F, providing
a constant purge of air to keep the panel free of dust and contaminants.
It installs quickly through a standard electrical knock-out and will maintain
NEMA 12 integrity of the enclosure. Applications include cooling programmable
controllers, CNC panels, camera and laser housings and computer cabinets.

APPLICATION XTRA
- expandable modules
- torque- resistant framing
Modular Enclosures for Process Control in Manufacturing
Enclosures surrounding equipment for monitoring, measuring and controlling
continuous industrial manufacturing processes must be flexible and expandable
to adapt to constantly changing requirements. Modular units with flexible
features and accessories allow such versatility in dynamic configurations.
The TS8 modular enclosure system uses a patented 16-fold frame that lends
torque-resistance while twin columns allow bi-level mounting on the inner
and outer levels of the frame. A 25mm hole pattern facilitates depth configuration
flexibility for vertical mounting panels, allowing dual panel installation.
The continuously-welded dual-tube frame can handle more than 1500 lbs of
equipment.
Modular plinths underneath the enclosure allow space for cable management.
Removable cable base sections facilitate cable tray installation. Additional
accessories, such as cable ties and clamps, are available to manage cables
for high-density I/O devices. In earthquake-prone environments, standard
models for these plinths provide 330 lbs siesmic Zone 3 protection; enhanced
plinths are certified for Zone 4 at 400 lbs. Additional stiffners, corner
gussets and diagonal brackets increase Zone 4-certified weight capacity
to 1100 lbs.
Clear viewing doors keep I/O visible for troubleshooting and diagnostics.
Rated for UL Type 12 and NEMA 1, 12, and 13 protection, these cabinets provide
integral continuous electrical bonding and roof-mounted eyebolts for grounding
and EMC protection.
Climate control accessories range from air conditioners and heat exchangers
to filter fans. These can be mounted at various heights on front and rear
doors to provide cross-ventilation; such horizontal cooling techniques avoid
short-cycling problems common with roof-mounted cooling devices. Shallow
1.75-in. deep fans maximize usable space within the enclosure.
These versatile enclosures are also used in heavy industry as well as dense
server network applications.
