Wavelength sensor.

This detector, part no. PSS-WS-7.56, is a silicon device that can determine the wavelength of light with a spectral resolution of 0.01 nm. Operational in the 450 to 900nm range, the unit has a 2.75 x 2.75mm sensing area (7.56mm²) with two P-N junctions layered vertically, one atop the other. The upper diode has enhanced blue response, while the lower is enhanced for red. Absorbed radiation generates two photocurrents proportional to the wavelength of the incident light. Bias voltage is 5V max., while the saturation level at 5V is 3 mW max. Operating temperature range is -20° to 55°C.
