MOTION CONTROL MARKETPLACE

Innovations

Pneumatic rodless cylinders.

Employing 30% fewer mechanical parts than its competitors, the i16 series of rodless cylinders offers an array of style and options. Bore sizes include 18, 25, 32, 40, 50 and 63mm. Bodies are extruded aluminum. Options include mounting feet, reed or Hall effect switches, pivot brackets and a support bracket. Tandem guided and double-action cylinders are also available. Branham Pneumatics Inc, Bradenton, FL. www.rsleads.com/206df-190

Nanosteps.

The INS50 five-phase nanostep driver integrates a 100-120 VAC (±10%) input voltage for maximum performance, and boasts the programming capacity to run up to 500,000 steps per single revolution. A DC version, called the INS500, provides designers the option of an unenclosed system that gives optimal flexibility for motor and external device connections. It can be operated from a single unregulated 24 VDC power supply. Nyden Corp USA, San Jose, CA www.rsleads.com/206df-191

High-torque motors.

The MBT series features direct-drive technology that eliminates mechanical drivetrain elements. The synchronous, frameless motors produce torque of up to 3820 ft-lbs at speeds from 100 to 750 rpm. The units exhibit extremely low torque ripple, making them suitable for robots, rotary tables, injection molding machines and woodworking. The motors are designed for liquid cooling, with built-in temperature sensors for protection. Bosch Rexroth Corp, Hoffman Estates, IL. www.rsleads.com/206df-192

Brushless DC motors.

Special winding geometry, combined with NdFeB magnets in these motors, optimizes flux in the magnetic circuit more efficiently than in similar brushless DC motors. Rational losses and magnetic losses are minimized, and the motors run cooler with efficiencies up to 95% under load. Power ranges offered are from 15 W to 3 kW, in sizes from 12.7 to 44.5mm with available no-load speeds over 100,000 rpm. Xtreme Energy Inc, St. Petersburg, FL. www.rsleads.com/206df-193

High force linear motor.

The LC line of linear motors use a laminated steel core design with a high copper fill for improved thermal efficiency. The laminations are completely encapsulated, eliminating moisture migration in wet environments that can lead to motor failure. Two 80mm-wide models are presently offered; one is 240mm long and rated at 62 lb-ft continuous, the other 340mm long and rated at 94 lb-ft continuous. Anorad Corp, Hauppauge, NY. www.rsleads.com/206df-194
