A range of precision ground round racks, with accurate helicoidal tooth forms, is available in hardened round bearing shafting and 316 stainless steel tube. Round rack in standard diameters from 6 to 20 mm and lengths of up to 500 mm are offered with a cumulative pitch error of only 0.025 mm per 500 mm length. Tube rack diameters are 6 to 10 mm. Custom ends can be made to suit interface requirements. A range of PEEK polymer pinions extends rack life with lubrication-free design—Reliance Gear’s stainless steel insert reduces swash to improve transmission accuracy with non-slip shaft attachment. Distance sensor
The GP2Y0D340K distance measuring sensor has a range of 10 to 40 cm. Start-up delay is 10 msec with a 7 msec response time, with on/off cycling in less time.
