Cyanoacrylate adhesives.
These Flashcure adhesives combine all the advantages of cyanoacrylate and light cure chemistries. They offer instant fixtures and tack-free surfaces in less than five seconds when exposed to low, medium or high intensity light. These adhesives cure tack-free without the use of potentially flammable solvent-borne accelerators. They also are surface insensitive and versatile. Flashcure products feature a secondary moisture cure mechanism that allows the adhesive to cure completely in shadowed areas where light cannot reach. These adhesives minimize blooming and stress cracking of sensitive substrates such as polycarbonate and acrylic. Light curing adhesive. Single component, light curing potting adhesives eliminate the need for metered mixing, simplify dispensing, eliminate waste and offer virtually unlimited pot life. These adhesives have metal bonding strengths up to 3000psi. They also exhibit vibration, humidity, moisture and thermal shock resistance. Film adhesives. Adhesives 689 and 319 are used in producing decorative laminates for aircraft interior trim. Developed as 3-mil. adhesives for Tedlar-covered sidewalls and other surfaces, these adhesives offer protection against flammability and smoke generation. Adhesive 689 can be processed with or without a release paper depending upon the adhesive's use with either single or double laminate constructions. Ceramic-based adhesive. Ceramabond 503 is a single part, alumina-filled, inorganic adhesive used in ultra high vacuum, high temperature applications to 3200°F. Ceramabond 503 is used to bond and coat platinum/rhodium wire to an alumina core. It has a dielectric strength of 250 V/mil, offers good oxidation resistance, contains no organic resins or solvents, and after curing at 500°F for 1-2 hours will not outgas in a vacuum. Plastic adhesive. This silicone adhesive brings unprimed adhesion to most plastics, including bonding and sealing appliance parts, motors and pump housings. The non-corrosive material does not react with most metals and is suited for both OEM and MRO applications. The adhesive/sealant cures to a tough but pliable elastomer.
