Planetary epicyclic drives.

The Type SA drive is the latest generation of Rotomission technology. This compact differential consists of three elements which are mechanically connected by the sun and planet gears. Combining the motion of the three elements solves many electro-mechnical drive problems. It employs a compound epicyclic system of gearing to provide high-torque capacity and a wide range of reduction ratios in a compact space. The torque capacity is a direct function of the number of planetary gear assemblies used. Consequently, a maximum range of ratios and capacities are provided from a minimum number of basic sizes and components. Many sizes are available to meet output torque and casing speeds. Andantex, Wanamassa, NJ. Free info--Circle 640. http://www.OneRS.net/107df-640

8506_743 V-belts. Dynam series V-belts ensure belt tension by providing two clearly-printed marks that can be measured against a pre-specified distance. Risks of slippage are reduced to 1% with 95% power transmission efficiency guaranteed. Correctly tensioned belts minimize the load on bearings necessary for efficient contact between balls or rollers and their track. Vibration and noise are reduced while belt life is increased. Colmant Cuvelier, Lille Cedex, FRANCE. Free info--Circle 643. http://www.OneRS.net/107df-643

8507_761Planetary gearboxes. These swiss-made gearboxes are available in 22 to 120mm dia., with motor speeds up to 5000 rpm and typical 10,000 hr life. Low and extra-low backlash and heavy-duty torque versions are available. Designed to fit most common motors, mounting configurations include hollow shaft, double-shaft, square, round, motor-larger-than-gearbox and vertical installation position. MAXMAR Controls Inc, Pleasantville, NY. Free info--Circle 661. http://www.OneRS.net/107df-661

8507_750 In-line gear reducers. Available for motorized inputs from 1/4 to 7-1/2 hp, the aluminum-housed LeeCENTRIC series in-line gear reducers are designed with modular mountings to match the footprint of other popular reducer brands. Leeson Electric, Grafton, WI. Free info--Circle 650. http://www.OneRS.net/107df-650

8507_751 Helical servo gearhead. Ultra-TRUE continuous duty helical servo gearhead generates less heat than other gearheads. It can run up to 1.5 times faster than standard input speeds with 98.5% mesh efficiency. Thomson Industries Inc, Port Washington, NY. Free info--Circle 651. http://www.OneRS.net/107df-651

8507_742 Custom gear drives. Right-angle Crown gear drives can be customized to provide directional motion change in all types of power transmission systems. Custom features include many shaft options, case modifications for unique mounting requirements and special finishes. Drive gears are permanently mounted to drive shafts with locking pins to provide a resilient and durable connection under heavy loads. Zero-Max Inc, Plymouth, MN. Free info--Circle 642. http://www.OneRS.net/107df-642

8507-752 Gearheads. Available in metric and NEMA sizes, low-backlash high-speed gearheads are in-line and right-angle configured, in ratios from 3:1 to 1500:1. All standard gear head products can ship within 72 hours. Parker Hannifin--Zenith Division, Sanford, NC. Free info--Circle 652. http://www.OneRS.net/107df-652

8507_753 Pancake motor. The Platinum series pancake motor with integral ball screw has extremely high acceleration, zero cogging, flat profile and long life. Thrust loads are up to 300 lbs and speed is up to 16 in./sec, with 8-in. travel. PMI/Danaher, Amherst, NY. Free info--Circle 653. http://www.OneRS.net/107df-653

8507-745 Interplanetary gearbox. Designed for applications where diffusive power transmission is required, the Kopernican-IXß gearbox features a revolutionary sungear that drives 9.5 planet gears, along with interorbiting satellite gears, dissipating power evenly throughout the system. Electronic filtering reduces radio interference from the self-lubricating ferrous-coated sun gear. Options include oort and kuiper belt drives. Cosmic Gearheads Inc, Flying H, NM. Free info--Circle 645. http://www.OneRS.net/107df-645

8507_755 Forged gear parts. This company specializes in open die and rolled ring forging, offering production of gear blanks, hubs, rings and shafts to produce helical, spur, bevel, hypoid and other gear products out of gear-quality alloys. Scot Forge, Springrove, IL. Free info--Circle 655. http://www.OneRS.net/107df-655
