Side-facing LEDs. The ESM-3070 series of surface mount GaP LEDs are suited for flat profile packaging designs. The devices, molded in clear, high-temperature material, are offered in green, yellow-green, red and orange output ranges, and are available as IR emitters, as well. Total height is less than 1.2 mm, with a footprint of 2.5 mm. Power dissipation is 100 mW, with a forward current of 60 mA, forward voltage of 1.8V (2.6V max), and a radiant intensity of 24 mW/sr. Spectral bandwidth for the series is 50 nm and a half-angle of 15 degrees.
