Flexible couplings. The use of 73 durometer molded neoprene isolate the ends from torsional vibration and isolates the shafts from one another. Both the Neo-Flex S50F and S50P series of couplings have hubs made of 303 stainless steel, in either a conventional pin style that fastens with a set screw, or a Fairloc version that clamps onto shafts with a cantilevered section machined into the hub. The latter style allows for frequent phase adjustment, timing and position adjustment, since the tightening mechanism does not mar the shaft. The couplings are offered with either smooth or ribbed center sections. The ribbed style provides a maximum shaft misalignment of 5 degrees and a maximum parallel offset of 0.38 mm.
