Pre-drilled shafting
This tubular steel shafting is composed of the company’s 60 Plus 52100 material. Predrilled and tapped every 8-in., they are available in 1˝- and 2-in. dia. up to 12 ft long. The shafts can be supplied with or without support rails and shaft assemblies (fully mounted). Tubular shafting provides more strength and rigidity per unit of mass than comparable solid shafting. Another benefit is that it cools down more quickly than solid shafting, thereby extending the life of slide bushings operating at high load and high speed. These shafts can be used as conduit for electrical control lines, pressurized air lines for pneumatic devices, or hydraulic lines. In high speed manufacturing operations, for example, these lines would be less susceptible to rupture or damage when protected in this manner.

Post-mold fluorination sealant
Designed to replace expensive alternative materials with surface-modified plastics, this post-mold fluorination process exposes the surfaces of plastics (and other materials) to elemental fluorine under strictly controlled conditions of time, temperature and pressure. A permanent fluorocarbon barrier seals both inner and outer surfaces to prevent chemical permeation and evaporation.

Resin transfer molding
This company’s multi-staged resin transfer molding (RTM) process produces high-quality fiberglass (FRP) parts. RTM involves placing a fiber preform in a matched mold tool, then injecting a thermosetting resin matrix into the closed mold cavity at low pressure. Dimensional tolerance of ±0.1 mm is uniform. Fiber content of 25~75% creates strong, lightweight product. Various finishes are available.

TPV seals
Foam-Tite TPV seals are composed of Santoprene, made through an environmentally responsible water-blown extrusion process. The soft closed-cell foam absorbs less than 2% of its body weight, after 24 hours total immersion in water. A tough, homogenous skin can incorporate extra sealing fins. The material is recyclable without expensive recovery costs.
