- RGB color element detection
- One-button calibration
Digital fiberoptic
sensor.
The CZ series is unaffected by target gloss, light and shading.
It can detect targets conventional sensors cannot, as well as provide accurate detection
of vibrating targets. It features one-button-sensitivity calibration, digital LCD display,
built-in stabilization circuit and 300-µs response speed. RGB color element detection is
a stable detection method in which color detection can be achieved even in difficult
mounting conditions. It eliminates the limitations of conventional light quantity
receiving methods such as limited differentiation capability and the inability to
compensate for fluctuations in target distance. Keyence, 50 Tice Blvd,

Optical scanning sensor. The M24 line of high-resolution multi-point sensors for
three-dimensional profiling uses 23 lasers. Ideal for height measurement, profile
measuring, sizing of material and other applications, it possesses the ability to be
multi-plexed with other units to provide an effective scan width of virtually any size
desired. LMI Selcom Measurement & Control, 21666 Melrose Ave,

Laser through-beam sensor. The BOS-18M sensor pairs high accuracy with
long-range sensing to over 50m. It can detect objects as small as 0.03mm from a distance
of 10-80cm. This makes it ideal for minute part and motion detection, such as bit breakage
in robotic drilling of PC boards. Long sensing range removes criticality in mounting by
allowing greater "stand off" on minute objects. Baluff, 8125

Sensor-actuator cabling. This cabling provides users with a
comprehensive range of initiator cabling so that the necessary links between controls and
sensors/actuators can be obtained from a single manufacturer. In addition, built-in LEDs
immediately show which system is actuated. They provide sufficient protection from wear
and cutting oils in severe industrial environments. Phoenix Contact, PO Box

Pressure transmitters. Model PL300 utilizes a piezoresistive
sensing element for absolute- and gage- referenced pressure ranges from 100 in.WC to 300
psi. It utilizes a thin film sensor for pressure ranges from 400 to 15,000 psi. Both
models feature a highly stable, temperature compensated, conditioned output signal. For
additional reliability, 3-wire voltage and current output circuits are protected from
electromagnetic interference. STI, 6550 Dumbarton Circle, Fremont, CA 94555.

Analog laser sensor. The OADM 20 product family accurately
measures the distance to a target based on the triangulation principal, and outputs the
measurement either through an analog or a serial interface. Microprocessor technology has
been incorporated into the sensors to further optimize the analog 4-20 mA current output
signal. They are suitable for a range of automatic control engineering applications. Baumer

Photoelectric sensor. The SL30 and the SLE30 are
self-contained, opposed mode emitter-receiver pair sensors in a rugged U-shaped housing.
The 30mm wide sensing slot makes these sensors a good solution for numerous clear film
detections including gear tooth, edge, label, high cap, and register mark. They operate
from 10 to 30 VDC, and offer bipolar NPN (sinking) and PNP (sourcing) outputs, which
handle 150mA maximum load each. Banner Engineering, PO Box 9414,

Magnetic field sensor chips. The 2-D and 3-D line of sensors
are intended primarily for mapping of magnetic fields, and 2-D and 3-D angular and
rotational position sensing. Other uses include resolvers, SIN/COS detectors, micromotors,
tachometers, contactless potentiometer or joy sticks. They are available in either SOIC-8
packaging or in chip form. GMW Associates, PO Box 2578, Redwood City, CA
