Motion INNOVATIONS
POWER TRANSMISSION
Top Product
- Active CAM technology
- One inch plastic nut
Ball screw.
The XC series of ball screws utilizes a rigid stainless steel cam that automatically
rotates and produces higher axial rigidity without sacrificing life, torque or positional
accuracy. The Active CAM design, which replaces older spring loaded nut technologies,
produces zero backlash and consistent minimal drag torque up to the rated load capacity of
the nut. The Active CAM will automatically compensate for wear and deliver exceptional
repeatability throughout the life of the nut. The 1 in. XC series assembly has a load
capacity up to 500 lbs. and is available in thread mounts. The active CAM assemblies are
non-corrosive because they are made out of stainless steel and plastic. BSA,

Bearing mounted clutches. The BEC & SEC series is available
in six sizes with torques from 2.5 through 600 in.-lbs., and 75 to 1800 in.-lbs.
respectively, allowing the rotor assembly to rotate with the drive shaft at high speeds.
The rotor assembly is supported with ball bearings to the stationary field coil housing
for increased life and load capacity. They are suitable for a range of industrial
applications. Electroid, 45 Fadem Rd, Springfield, NJ 07081. 973-467-8100. http://www.electroid.com

Motion control kit. The DeviceNet compliant MVP motion control
modules come in a complete kit form. Included in the kit is a module with integrated
linear or PWM amplifier, power supply, demo software, instruction manual, all necessary
cabling, and gearmotor and encoder of choice. Only one module is required to operate up to
63 axes of motion control. Micro Mo Electronics, 14881 Evergreen Ave,

Polymer bearings. The PEP line of bearings are for rotary
movement. This closed bearing design allows the bearing to function with any type of shaft
material. The inner sleeve of the bearing acts as the mating surface, allowing the
coefficient of friction and specific wear behavior to be predetermined. PEP bearings
combine the advantages of self-lubricating bearings with reliable closed ball bearing
design. igus, PO Box 14349, E Providence, RI 02914. 800-521-2747. http://www.igus.com Circle
