Rotational sensor/switch
Combining a Hall-effect device, an MR or GRM device with sealed-in-place lead wires and easy screw mounting, this insert molded sensor-switch provides all-in-one thermoplastic assembly. This pulse-sensing device was conceived as an economical switch for such applications as tachometer/encoder feedback for speed control regulation. It is optimized for accurate position mounting near rotors. Companion target magnets are available from various plastic bonded materials.

Multi-tasking programming language
MintMT integrates key functions of motion control, I/O handling, communications, networking and opera-tor interface into a single programming language. The software allows each task to be truly independent of each other and makes it easier to split the tasks of machine programming across a number of engineers. It is pre-compiled before it is stored on the control, speeding start-up. Applications are designed for writing in a modular manner, allowing code reuse and reducing programming time.

Thrust rod linear positioning
The use of a Thrust Rod linear motor, with just one moving part, completely replaces lead screws in this linear drive system. Eight standard models offer forces up to 890 lbs peak, 30.88 in./sec accelerations, 574.2 in./sec velocity and 73 in. travel. All versions can be equipped with position encoders with resolution to 0.1 µm, and they are fully compatible with the company’s Accelus servoamplifiers.

Universal torque sensor
The Series STH of torque sensors is designed for testing of catheters, threaded fasteners, motors, actuators, torques tools, valves, etc. Five models cover capacities from 10 oz-in. to 100 lb-in. and the quick-change chucks cover the range of 0.028- to 0.5-in. dia. samples, as well as Ľ-in. hex tool bits. They connect to the company’s digital force/torque indicator Model BGI for a large array of data-acquisition features.

Speed regulators
The 1.5-in. stroke Mini-K series of speed regulators combines the advantages of a long stroke with a com-pact design and 400 lb capacity. All units are hermetically sealed, and may be operated in any position for millions of cycles without leaking. They can be infinitely adjusted over a wide range to give smooth control of forces as low as 5 lbs. Speed variations due to temperature changes are almost imperceptible by use of constant-viscosity silicone fluid instead of hydraulic oil.
