Integrated linear motion
Designed to minimize space requirements by combining a precision guide rail, a pneumatic cylinder with integrated air, and electrical feed through, the LIRAX SSP provides extremely high positioning accuracies, high force capability and reliable operation. The telescoping systems are pneumatically actuated and capable of handling loads up to 50 Kg. The guide rail is specifically designed to provide high rigidity — up to 60 Nm. The piston can produce transverse forces up to 720 Nm to handle heavy payloads. Three bore sizes are available from 18 to 40 mm, with various strokes up to 600 mm. Integrated sensors provide constant monitoring.

Servo controller system
Featuring high speed, low-cost continuous 3D motion, the LP series servo controller system includes the PCI card for the PC, power amplifiers and power supply. Smooth, continuous 2 or 3D motion avoids puddling when dispensing fluids or working with solder, as well as providing higher throughput. SAC motion control software is included for programming basic motion functions. Lines, arcs, I/O, conditional and logical statements can be used to create simple to complex motion profiles. A library of motion routines is available for software development for OEM applications.

Optical encoder chip
The ChipEncoder features diffractive optics technology to provide rotary position feedback of 3300 to 160,000 cpr and 100 to 1000 cpmm of linear feedback for precise, closed-loop motion control. Reportedly the smallest optical encoder kit available, the 6 x 6 x 4 mm PCB mount device has 3-channel output, which includes a reference mark and broad output tolerances for automated assembly. No adjustments are needed. Unlike mechanical devices, the non-contact SMT optical encoder exhibits zero wear, backlash and hysteresis. Interpolated linear resolution ranges from 10 to 1.0 µm.

Mini servo controller
A D-shaped bulge, extending the diameter of a 35 mm motor housing by only 8 mm, now houses the latest model in the SuprMotr series of servo controllers. Measuring less than 22 x 100 mm overall, the SuprStik supplies all the features found in the company’s larger controller packages, excepting uncommitted I/O channels. The full-featured servo-controller, non-volatile memory, driver and serial interface combine the LM629 servo controller with matching LMD18201, 3A PWM driver for low level motor control and trajectory generation functions.

Stepper machine control
The T6M machine control system requires no external support equipment. It combines the indexer, power supply and PLC into a compact 4- x 3- x 4-in. module. Internally fan-cooled, the 48W power supply uses efficient PWM drivers to adapt to a wide range of stepping motors. The T6 sentence-like programming language is simple to use, requiring no training. Accurate move-to-position commands automatically generate the acceleration and deceleration ramps. There are 8 inputs and 6 outputs for general-purpose use, and the 4 inputs dedicated to motor control are stop, home, jog forward and jog reverse.
