Elevator gearboxes

ZF-Ecolift models RME 310 and RME 410 are planetary gearboxes specifically designed for elevator movement applications. Constructed for both passenger and service elevators, the units benefit from the use of a two-stage design to transmit power to the sheave, rather than using worm gears. Suitable for motor speeds of 1000, 1500 (standard) and 3000 rpm, ZF-Ecolift gearboxes fulfill elevator technical regulations TRA 200 and TRA 220-229, as well as the European standard DIN EN 81. For frequency inverter applications, speed can be increased or decreased referencing the standard speed, which makes the use of multiple sheave sizes obsolete. The gearboxes can be used with motors up to 50 hp, and handle load capacities up to 5500 lbs. Helical planetary gearing contributes to the units’ low noise.

Hypoid gearbox

The Dyna-Lite right-angle gear reducer uses hypoid gearing for better torque, speed, backlash and efficiency over other high precision gearboxes. Greater tooth contact area provides greater load carrying capability. A 10:1 gear ratio can be achieved in a single stage with efficiency of 93 to 96%, depending on ratio, throughout the speed range.

Size 20 harmonic gearhead

The HPG Series planetary gearhead is now offered in size 20, with a backlash level of less than 1 arc-min. The units have a rated torque of 321 in.lb and a maximum torque of 1920 in.lb. Servo actuator with gearhead

Centrifugal clutch

The Tri-Lobe Clutch is a 3-shoe unit that enhances balance by distributing its weight more evenly on the crankshaft.
