Repulsion motor

This high torque, variable speed brushless motor employs solid-state switches embedded in its rotor windings. Opening and closing these switches controls the current, torque and the direction of rotation, eliminating the need for an external drive. A triggering LED, RF, laser or magnetic signal actuates each switch. The initial 56-frame motor develops a constant ½ hp over speeds from 400 to 2200 rpm.

Setpoint controllers
