Conveyor design

          • quick belt change
          •
high strength, rigidity

The “open side” stand design of this low-profile conveyor enables 2-minute belt changes. The high strength and rigidity of the steel conveyor frame and mount allows cantilever style mounting to just one side of the stand, permitting the legs on the opposite side to stop short of the conveyor frame, thereby eliminating obstructions to slide-on/off belt installation/removal. The conveyor does not have to be disassembled from the stand for belt change, which on conventional units can take from 45 minutes to 2 hours. The tail pulley mounting permits rapid de-tensioning. Side rails with brackets remove easily with optional quick-set knobs. The cantilever mounting is designed for belt widths up to 7˝ in., and supplemental swing-away supports are available for wider conveyors. Configuration choices include end-drive, center-drive, cleated, magnetic, vacuum, high-temperature, high-speed, self-tracking and AccuMove precision indexing conveyors. A streaming video can be viewed on the company’s website.

Flywheel couplings

The Arcusaflex flywheel coupling line is designed to provide a torsionally soft and backlash-free connection between internal combustion engine flywheels and the driven components of generators, compressors and pumps. The unit is field-proven for applications up to 140,000 lb-ft of torque and speeds up to 4200 rpm. Standard operating temperature is up to 176°F, but versions are available up to 266°F.

Flexible couplings

A wide range of standard sizes, materials and flexure (coil) variations is available as single piece, flexible couplings. End connections for specific applications are customizable, combining 2 pieces into a single construction. Helical couplings correct for misalignment, relieving stress on machinery for longer overall wear life. Steel, aluminum and other materials are available.

Pallet conveyor

Pallet Option 3200 series conveyors are used for securing or separating items on a conveyor for additional assembly or processing. These pallets typically are attached directly to the conveyor through pre-engineered holes on the conveyor’s belt. The pallet option is also available on the com-pany’s 2200 series conveyor line. All units are made-to-order.

Quick-connect gearhead

Designed to mount easily to any motor, the CSF-GH series quick-connect gearhead maintains the benefits of harmonic drive gearing, including 1.5 arc-min. accuracy and zero backlash. An adaptor flange and clamp-style shaft coupling assembles easily with a servomotor. A high-stiffness cross roller bearing is used for output, supporting high radial, axial and moment loads. Rated torque is 69 in.-lb (peak 248 in.-lb).
