The RotoRing Series of rotary tables combines axial brushless RotoLinear motoring modules and planar air bearings integrated in a compact, direct drive configuration. Large area air bearings provide sufficient payload stiffness, and maximize performance with respect to wobble and run-out. The radially distributed motoring modules provide high positioning stiffness during rotary indexing, and when installed on moving XY tables. The tables provide unlimited rotation, and are capable of precise positioning and velocity control when used with micro-stepping or servo-drives. They can be equipped with IntelLiCoder feedback for closed loop operation. The tables can be mounted in any orientation, and have a large open center design, which permits access to parts on the table from inside and outside, simultaneously.
External actuator This Size 14 hybrid linear actuator has a stainless steel acme lead screw incorporated into the motor’s rotor, eliminating the need for shaft-to-lead-screw couplers. The actuator is offered in a range of resolutions from 0.000125- to 0.002-in. per step, with thrusts of up to 25 lbs. The standard external linear actuator has 6 in. of visible lead screw, which can be altered to meet custom applications.
Heavy-duty slide The Model 9308 slide has sturdy lock-in and lock-out actions to keep the slide safely open for access, or securely closed for transit. It carries a 300 lb. load rating, and the latch mechanism resists disengaging when side-to-side racking. Applications include emergency vehicle equipment drawers, battery tray pull-outs, utility vehicle drawers, and storage trays or racks.
R-to-D converter The RDC-19229S-4XX Class K monolithic converter features programmable 10-, 12-, 14- and 16-bit resolution, along with programmable bandwidth and tracking rates, +5V-only input power, and internal synthesized reference. The resolver-to-digital device was designed for applications such as motor control, positioning, and reaction wheels in space programs.

Roller guides Tschudin & Heid linear roller cages and guides are designed to allow the displacement of moving parts in an axial direction, through the use of parallel shafts and sleeves. Special rollers, instead of balls, result in line contact with the guide, rather than point contacts as with ball-types. The line contact permits pre-load at assembly to be reduced.
Rotary positioning stage The PDR direct drive rotary stage incorporates a glass scale encoder with a resolution down to 0.25 arc-sec, with repeatability of positioning to ±0.5 arc-sec. All encoder multiplication is accomplished internally to the PDR, eliminating external multiplication electronics. The use of a single cable interface, rather than a connector mounted on the stage, makes the PDR easier to mount in tight spaces.

Photodiode positioning system The SiQu50-M is a complete positioning module that combines a Silicon Quadrant Photodiode with amplifiers and position sensing circuitry, functioning with most any light source. The working circuit provides for amplification (104 kW) of each quad element’s current, and outputs a voltage of both the sum of the quadrants, as well as the differences of Top minus Bottom and Left minus Right.
