16-pin PhotoMOS relays

Three ultraminiature 16-pin multifunction PhotoMOS relays are specifically designed for use with fax/modem cards and personal digital assistants. Of these, the AQS210PS has a Data Access Arrangement for hook switch, dial pulse, ring detection, electronic inductance and polarity protection. The AQS210TS has two MOSFET relays and one optocoupler for hook switch, dial pulse, caller ID, ring detection and short circuits line transformer. The AQS210T2S has one MOSFET relay and two optocouplers for hook switch, dial pulse, ring detection and current detection. The SOP package-type relays operate in the 350 to 400 voltage range, with a load current between 100 to 120 mA. Aromat Corp, 629 Central Ave, New Providence, NJ 07974. 800-AROMAT9. Circle 403.

8512_406.eSealed ultra-miniature switches. The ES Series of slide switches offers a process-sealed construction without the need for troublesome boots. An internal o-ring and an epoxy seal enable the switch to withstand wave and reflow soldering and cleaning processes. Dimensions are 0.484-in. high by 0.237-in. wide, and the contact rating is 0.4VA max @ 20V AC or DC max. Initial contact resistance is rated at 50 milliohms max. C&K Components Inc, 57 Stanley Ave, Watertown, MA 02472. 800-635-5936.

8512_407.eEmergency-stop switches. Proteckta Switches are protected by NEMA 4 enclosures against water and washdown environments. Also available in a key-operated reset version, the units are designed to provide a minimum of 3 million actuations. The switches are offered with switching abilities of 230V/6A AC, 220V/0.2A or 24V/1.5A DC, and they operate in temperatures from -20° to 60°C. Scientific Technologies Inc, 6550 Dumbarton Circle, Fremont, CA 94555. 888-510-4357. Circle 407.

8512_410.eSealed sliders. The TG Series of slide switches have a body size of just 0.398-in. long x 0.197-in. wide x 0.378-in. deep. They are offered with or without a translucent silicone rubber seal that provides full process capability. Users can select single pole ON-ON or ON-OFF-ON versions; plus there are three PC mounting configurations, with or without a bracket, a straight 0.598 in. wirewrap terminal style, and a flush actuator option. APEM Components Inc, 134 Water St, PO Box 544, Wakefield, MA 01880-4444. 781-246-1007. Circle 410.

8512-411AC-controlled relays. The Model CMRA solid-state relay offers AC control to the CoolPak Series of 35-65 A units. Both the CMRA Series and the DC-controlled CMRD Series come with an optimized integral heat sink that allows operation to full rated current load, and feature DIN rail- or panel-mounting. All internal components are of surface mount technology for exceptional reliability. Crydom Corp, 9525 Chesapeake Dr, San Diego, CA 92123. 800-8-CRYDOM.

8512_404.ePower relay. The single-pole FTR-H2 relay series has a 10A rating at 250VAC/30VDC for over 100 thousand operations. Occupying 26% less printed circuit board space than the industry-standard FTR-H1 relay, the -H2 is suited for home appliances and consumer audio-visual equipment applications such as microwave ovens, televisions, stereos, VCRs and cable TV boxes. It is available with 5-, 6-, 9-, 12-, 24- and 48-VDC coils. Fujitsu Takamisawa America Inc, 250 E Caribbean Dr, Sunnyvale, CA 94089. 800-380-0059. Circle 404.

8512_405.eTime delay relay. The KRD Series of ultra-compact, encapsulated time delay relays are designed for OEM machine and appliance applications. A 10A rated miniature relay is combined with a digital timing circuit and onboard adjustment. The KRD Series eliminates the need for a separate mounting/connection socket. Time delays from 200 milliseconds to 100 minutes are divided into five ranges, with accuracy of ±0.5%. SSAC Inc, PO Box 1000, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. 315-638-1300. Circle 405.

8512_412.eSubminiature snap-action switches. The sealed DK Series of snap-action switches are suited to environments requiring waterproof and dustproof units, as in automotive applications. The DR Series have dust-resistant construction for general usage, as in telecommunications and appliances. DC current ratings are 5mA to 2A at 12VDC, and operating force is 75 gm maximum. Contacts are silver or high-performance gold alloy crosspoint. Cherry Electrical Products, 11200-88th Ave, PO Box 913, Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158. 800-844-0797. Circle 412.

8512-413High-impact polymer keypads. STORM 1000 PLX high spec keypads are cased in a super high impact black polymer to achieve a high level of resistance to abuse and attack. They are IP65-rated against water and dust, are CE compliant, and have a long life in excess of 5 million operations per key. Cast metal keycaps have telephone or calculator format graphics. The PLX keypads are available in 4-, 12- and 16-key formats. MGR Industries Inc, 450 B Industrial Dr, Fort Collins, CO 80524. 970-221-2201. Circle 413.

8512_408.eLow-signal relay. The small profile of the G6K signal relay allows high-density mounting. The surface-mount unit measures just 5.3mm high x 10.2mm wide x 6.7mm long. It is also offered in PCB through-hole, and either SMT gull-wing or SMT inside-L mount. Rated loads are 1A @ 30VDC, and 0.3A @ 125VAC. Coil power consumption is 85mW to 100mW, and life expectancy is 100 x 106 operations. Omron Electronics Inc, 1E Commerce Dr, Schaumburg, IL 60173. 800-55-OMRON. Circle 408.

8512_409.eLimit switch and lock. The SmartLock Slide Lock and Limit Switch mechanically holds a slide fully retracted, while its integral electrical switching element simultaneously verifies the slide position to the machine control. It protects molds from costly damage during cycling and change out, and it prevents out-of-time part ejection. The integral, tandem-actuated SPDT switch can be connected directly to the machine control. Burger Engineering Inc, 1700 E 123rd St, Olathe, KS 66061. 800-764-3518. Circle 409.
