Self-lubricating slewing rings
iglide PRT slewing rings from igus use self-lubricating, low-friction polymer sliding elements in place of ball bearings. The sliding pads are made from a low-cost polymer called iglide J, which boasts a low coefficient of friction, chemical resistance and low moisture absorption. No minimum order required and free samples are available.

Casting with graphite molds: An ideal process for an uncertain economy
More and more manufacturers are investigating an economical yet often overlooked casting process that can provide rapid turnaround, especially for medium-volume production runs. The process, perfected by Graphicast, makes use of graphite molds to produce parts from ZA-12, a zinc-aluminum alloy that is harder, stronger, and more durable than aluminum, brass, bronze, or plastic.
