New Blind Rivets Are An Eye Opener
Micro Plastics, Inc introduces a new line of Blind Rivet panel fasteners. These precision-molded all-plastic rivets are used to fasten plastic to plastic, plastics to metal, and plastic to fiberglass. Blind Rivets are non-conductive and non-corrosive and can be inserted from either side of the assembly using standard riveting tools. The 14 Blind Rivets available fit a range of standard and metric hole sizes and grip ranges.

Designing a custom life-cycle test platform for aircraft seating
Simulating a lifetime of wear and tear on aircraft seats requires a scalable hardware and software solution to meet the needs of multiple and diverse test requirements. Each life-cycle test needs specific setup conditions and different instruments and actuators. For these reasons, engineers from G Systems and Recaro Aircraft Seating, a leading manufacturer of aircraft seats, developed a fully customizable control module to interface with a universal life-cycle test fixture for aircraft seating.

Why Use Silicone Sponge Rubber?
Silicone sponge rubber has the combined properties of resilience, high-temperature stability, and general inertness unavailable in any other closed-cell sponge gasketing material. Silicones are generally unaffected by extended exposure to temperature extremes from -100F to 500F, and are also unaffected by aging and degradation from sunlight and ozone. Learn more about silicone foam, silicone sponge, and solid silicone rubber gaskets and materials from Stockwell Elastomerics by clicking here.
