Donaldson engineers set out to design an air pre-cleaner product line for off-highway vehicles that extends air filter life and improves fuel economy by providing higher separation efficiency and lower pressure drop than existing designs, now named TopSpin. Company engineers used computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to model the flow of air and particles through the pre-cleaner.
