The new 2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid SUV marks the brand's first plug-in hybrid offering in the United States. Designed to meet the needs of modern families, it delivers an estimated 38 miles of all-electric range for everyday errands, while its hybrid powertrain includes a 4-cylinder gasoline engine that provides an EPA-estimated total driving range of up to 420 miles. It is offered in two well-equipped grades: SL and Platinum.

The 7-passenger, 3-row plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) combines two electric motors, a 20-kWh lithium-ion battery pack, and a 2.4-liter gasoline engine. Total system output is 248 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque, helping enable quicker acceleration than the standard Rogue. Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is standard on Rogue Plug-in Hybrid. The battery can be fully charged in just 7.5 hours on a Level 2 home charger. Overall, this SUV is rated with an EPA fuel economy estimate of 64 MPGe, and 26 mpg combined when operating on gas. A portable Level 1 charger, which plugs into an everyday 120-V outlet, is standard.

Drivers can select from EV, Save, or Charge modes to balance battery charge or gas engine use, depending on their needs. There are also two levels of regenerative braking enabled by moving the shifter from D to B, or enabling the e-Step one-pedal driving function. Seven drive modes are available to optimize power delivery and AWD torque distribution: Normal, Power, Eco, Tarmac, Gravel, Snow, and Mud.

The design DNA and features of the new Rogue PHEV are borrowed heavily from the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. It looks very similar to the Outlander and yet significantly different than the non-hybrid Rogue. It has a muscular and dynamic exterior, with 20-in. dark-painted wheels, black mirror caps, and black exterior trim. Its all-LED exterior lighting is striking, with multi-element LED headlights.

The interior is a compelling blend of functionality and comfort, with physical controls for climate temperature, audio volume, and drive modes, plus an easy-to-operate electric shift lever. Soft-touch materials surround for a premium feel, including on the dashboard and door armrests. Acoustically laminated front door glass helps keep the cabin quieter. Platinum grade includes available leather-appointed seats, door illumination, and a genuine machined-aluminum trim plate around the shifter.

Inside, there is also a second row that slides, reclines, and easily folds forward for access to the third row. Second-row pull-up sunshades on the rear doors and a tri-zone automatic climate control system help keep rear passengers more comfortable in the Platinum grade. Second-row passengers also benefit from large pockets to store phones, tablets, and other accessories.
The cargo area is equally flexible, offering space for objects up to 80 in. long to be stowed horizontally behind the front seats. Cargo capacity is 12.8 cu. ft behind the third row, increasing to 30.8 cu. ft with the third row lowered and 64.7 cu. ft with the second row lowered. The wide cargo area can accommodate four golf bags (with third row lowered), while its tall interior can conveniently fit a mountain bike. A motion-activated power liftgate is standard. The rear doors open to a 70-degree angle, making it simpler for passengers to get in and out, or to load child seats or other cargo.

Rogue Plug-in Hybrid SL standard features include a 12.3-in. driver display, a 9-in. touchscreen infotainment system, two front and two rear USB ports, LED fog lights, heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Moving up to Platinum grade adds a 10-in. head-up display, a Bose nine-speaker sound system, a power panoramic sunroof, heated rear seats, leather-appointed seating, rear door pull-up sunshades, two 120-V power outlets, a heated steering wheel, and gloss black roof rails.

This SUV offers drivers and their passengers the confidence of 11 standard airbags and a lengthy list of standard safety and driver assistance technologies. All Rogue Plug-in Hybrid models feature standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 technologies, including Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, High Beam Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Automatic Emergency Braking. Intelligent Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection is also standard, providing a 360-degree view around the vehicle for more confidence when parking or maneuvering at low speeds.
Rogue Plug-in Hybrid also features standard ProPILOT Assist 1.12, providing steering assistance, braking, and acceleration support. There are many more great features.

The 2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid has just rolled into dealerships. It has a starting price of $45,990 for the SL grade. The Platinum grade starts at $49,990. Learn more at nissanusa.com/vehicles/crossovers-suvs/rogue-plug-in-hybrid.html.
