SPIROL Introduces the Press-N-Lok™ Pin for Plastic Housings
The Press-N-Lok™ Pin was designed to permanently retain two plastic housings to each other. As the pin is inserted, the plastic backfills into the area around the two opposing barbs resulting in maximum retention. Assembly time is quicker and equipment costs are much lower compared to screws and adhesives -- just Press-N-Lok™!

Replace traditional fasteners: 50+ retaining ring
real-world applications

What's so good about a Rotor Clip Retaining Ring? The benefits are simple: The ring is made from less material than traditional fasteners, eliminating machined shoulders, threads, cover plates, and heat-formed studs -- so you save. Using a retaining ring to fasten your assembly instead of a traditional fastener not only reduces your costs, but also saves the environment. This quality part offers lot traceability.

How to convert hydraulic actuators to electric
Which technology, hydraulic cylinders or electric actuators, offers the best overall solution? Hydraulic cylinders, known for their high force at an affordable cost, have been widely used in factory automation equipment and other special automation equipment for decades. They are rugged, relatively simple to deploy, and provide a low cost per unit of force. What is sometimes not as well known is that electric rod actuators (cylinders) also have very large force capacities and offer improved system flexibility, precision, and reliability -- plus, they don't leak.

A look back 104 years ago: Final Allied offensive of WWI decided fate of Europe
By mid-September 1918, the French and U.S. armies under the command of Gen. John J. Pershing had achieved victory in a critical campaign, driving back the Germans from the Saint-Mihiel salient. With that area secured, about 600,000 Americans, along with some 220,000 French and Italian troops, moved 40 miles to the northwest along the bank of the Meuse River in the Meuse-Argonne region of France.

Application Note: Wireless -- Decoupling high-frequency signals from a DC supply
From 5G systems to radio and antenna applications, wireless communication accompanies us throughout our daily lives, so the demand for universal high-frequency amplifiers is correspondingly high. By selecting the optimal passive components, the transmission characteristics of the amplifier can be improved during development. A well-designed layout further improves RF performance. The aim is to transmit both RF signals and the DC supply on a single line without interference or cross-talk. A key component is the inductor for decoupling the RF and DC supplies.

How does continuous fiber reinforcement in 3D printing work?
Markforged runs through the basics of how its Continuous Fiber Reinforcement (CFR) process takes shape when 3D printing using one of its machines. The technique uses two extrusion systems: one for conventional FFF filament and a second for long-strand continuous fibers. Continuous fibers are laid down in-layer, replacing FFF infill. Markforged says the resulting parts are up to 10 times stronger than any FFF material alone.
